Summertime is here and the main thing we all want to do is have fun. Whether that’s going to the beach, taking a trip, or staying in and enjoying the air conditioner, having fun is the main priority.
Realistically though, summertime is the season when we all go on vacation--usually somewhere with a lot of sun and a lot of water. Planning your outfits for this time can be frustrating, especially if you’re on the go.
What Should I Pack For A Trip Where I’m Always On The Go?
The best way to plan out what to take for a trip is to determine where you’re going, what you’ll be doing, and how long you’ll be there. Here are some tips you can use if you’re planning on island hopping.
1. Choose Items You’re Comfortable With
Take items that you’re comfortable being in. Don’t pack the outfit just because it’s cute. When you’re island hopping, you are constantly on the go. Making sure you’re choosing pieces that are comfortable and still cute is key.
2. Take Basic Pieces
If you’re on the go and can’t carry too much stuff, take some basic pieces that you can style up or down. When you’re island hopping you want to look good and be comfortable. Those basic pieces can make your outfit look casual or fancy based on how you style it. They’re also very adaptable and can be used for any type of situation you can come across when island hopping.
3. Take Accessories
Accessories are key pieces to take to a trip. They can take a basic outfit and completely elevate the whole look. Using items like some sunglasses, a bag, a necklace, etc. will make your outfit look good.
4. Use versatile items
Finding versatile items that can be used in different scenarios is key. If you are wearing a dress, make sure it’s something that can be used during the day and night. The goal is to wear something that can be converted for any event.
5. Take Things That Can be Reused
Take anything and everything that can be reused. A water bottle, a bathing suit, and a bunch of other reusable stuff. This will make island hopping so much easier because you’re not taking too much and it’s something you’re comfortable using.
