Staying Hydrated by Drinking Water Regularly

Now, it’s pretty obvious that water is always a great component to your diet to keep you healthy. But, how does drinking water help keep your skin healthy?

With the usually prescribed eight ounces of water, four to six times a day, that should be enough to eliminate the body’s toxins. Such toxins that are flushed by drinking water help any person’s overall health – including the biggest organ on the body, skin!

Water, in addition, helps the skin maintain its elasticity, which helps reduce the appearance of scars and other soft lines. Women who are aging like fine wine are definitely recommended to keep drinking water. Drinking an abundant amount of refreshing water helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the skin.

Also, to encourage a more consistent practice of drinking water, keep a stylish, stainless steel canteen close in hand when you’re feeling thirsty. Or, use a mindful water-drinking application in Google Play Store or the iPhone App Store to remind you every hour or so to keep hydrated!

Whatever you can do to keep water a more consistent part of your skincare routine, make sure you keep in mind that at the end, you can expect more radiant-looking skin. Want to buy the most mineral dense water for the ultimate hydration, shop Mountain Valley Spring Water.

Good Digestion on the Inside Leads to Flawless Skin

Take care of your skin by watching out for specific foods that could create more acne. Of course, all of these foods in excess are what can cause skin to break out. The top on our list include eating dairy products.

Eating dairy products like milk, cheese, or yogurt in excess can increase insulin levels and an increase in blood sugar – ultimately making the skin more acne-prone. Other types of foods that are known to increase acne on the skin include eating grains and sugars that are refined. Now which foods fall into that category?

Well, those foods that are heavy in refined carbs include white rice and noodles, sugary beverages, and any pasta or desserts that are made with white flour.

Of course, you don’t need to prohibit yourself altogether from consuming any of these foods – but keep in mind that they can affect the look of your skin. And if you just can’t give up eating pasta (believe me I know), then check out our current craving for this pasta recipe that is great for women tracking their decrease in their intake of carbs.

Eat Foods Rich in Vitamin C and Antioxidants

Delicious sweets that we find delicious and filled with vitamin C are sliced oranges, grapefruit, strawberries, kiwi and pineapple – the perfect mix to create a fruit salad.

Or, if you would like to add more vitamin C to your lunch, we suggest cutting up some broccoli, brussel sprouts, cooked cabbage, or sweet potatoes.

Now why eat these foods packed with Vitamin C?

Vitamin C is known to help prevent skin from looking bland, promoting collagen and elastin. Both collagen and elastin are essential components to your skin that will keep it looking brighter and fresher than ever.

Foods rich in antioxidants will give you healthier, glowing skin. Eating foods with antioxidants helps the skin repair itself. Sometimes, skin can get inflamed and deter the skin’s process of reproducing newer skin.

Remember that last fruit salad you have to get your dose of Vitamin C? Well now you can add more goodness to the mix. Take a handful of blueberries, sprinkle some dark-chocolate flakes, and some crumbled cashews on your colorful salad.

These ingredients are great for adding antioxidants to your snacks –  a two-in-one deal of healthy and delicious.

Simple, Organic, Vegan Skincare We Highly Recommend

One of our favorite products we love using for our skin is organic coconut oil as moisturizer. The MCT in coconut oil can be absorbed by the body without digestion. This is one of the only nutritional foods that does not need to be digested to get absorbed.

Lather some onto the skin and see the results of the smoothing potential of coconut oil. Coconut oil has benefits on the skin, one is adding a protective barrier from environmental toxins that are known for clogging pores with dirt. Plus, coconut oil can help to potentially minimize noticeable wrinkles and fine lines.

Another product we feel can target your goal of more youthful-looking skin is using 100% pure witch hazel as a toner. What witch hazel can do for your skin is to increase regeneration of skin tissues, decrease heavy scarring, and soften the skin.

Depending on the type of skin you have, witch hazel can help with patchiness that comes with dry skin. If you have acne-prone skin, no worries! Any product that has pure, witch hazel is good for treating acne that comes with oily skin types.
