MINDFUL MAKING

At the core of BeachCandy Organics is the belief that what touches the skin matters. The skin, being semi-permeable and biologically reactive, absorbs a significant portion of what comes in contact with it—including residues from synthetic fabrics, chemical finishes, and conventional dyeing processes.

All textiles used are processed in alignment with GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) or equivalent criteria, ensuring no genetically modified seeds, toxic pesticides, or carcinogenic inputs are involved at any stage. Additionally, fabric finishes are free from silicone softeners, synthetic scent coatings, and optical brighteners. Garments are made to be breathable, hypoallergenic, and naturally antimicrobial, creating a protective barrier between the body and the environment.

crafted with care

BeachCandy Organics operates within a multi-production model—supporting artisans from India to Los Angeles. This global structure enables both large-scale traceability and small-batch flexibility. In India, the brand partners with a GOTS-certified facility and village-based artisan network. These partners are vetted for water recycling systems, infrastructure, and strict compliance with ethical labor standards.

In Los Angeles, all production is performed in a small design studio with less than 5-person team, allowing for agile prototyping, low-waste cutting, and zero-inventory deadstock. Each garment is hand patterned to maximize yield efficiency, and fabric scraps are reused for sampling. No large-scale automated machinery is used—preserving a level of hand-touched detail across every piece.

Plant-Dyed, Artisan-Made Textiles from India

In India, BeachCandy works with generational artisan families who use medicinal plant dyes and hand block printing to transform fabric into therapeutic textiles. Plant dyes such as turmeric (Curcuma longa) and indigo (Indigofera tinctoria) are selected not just for their colorfastness and vibrancy, but for their inherent bioactivity. These botanicals are known for their antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties when worn on the skin.

Thank You for Being the Change

The process is entirely non-toxic: raw fibers are pre-treated using alum or myrobalan as mordants, then dyed in vats using temperature-controlled fermentation. Final prints are cured under the sun using natural fixatives like banana bark. No synthetic binders or accelerants are used. The result is a zero-chemical, skin-safe textile that is vibrant, breathable, and naturally resilient to microbial buildup.
